COROPUR Polyurethane coatings

- for atmospheric corrosion protection
COROPUR stands for moisture-hardening, single component coating systems that can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying procedures. Alongside the simplicity of application and their high tolerance to moisture, COROPUR coatings feature a combination of great surface strength with high elasticity, and so ensure long-term corrosion protection of steel component parts.
COROPUR is normally applied at least as a two-layer coating (DFT 60-80 μm per layer). COROPUR Ferro, COROPUR Ferro LS and COROPUR Cover RAL are mainly used for th corrosion protection of steel parts according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 129-44-5 (corrosivity category C1 - C5-I and C5-M), in combination with the appropriate primers.

Alongside the simplicity of application and their high tolerance to moisture, COROPUR coatings feature a combination of great surface strength with high elasticity, and so ensure longterm corrosion protection of steel component parts. COROPUR is normally applied at least as a three-layer coating (DFT 150-250 μm per layer). COROPUR Tar, COROPUR Tar 21, COROPUR TF 21 and COROPUR Non Abrasiv are mainly used for the corrosion protection of steel water engineering constructions according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 129-44-5 (corrosivity category Im1, Im2 and Im3 for direct contact with freshwater, seawater and soil) in combination with the appropriate primers.

COPOPUR Tar /
Tar 21

COROPUR Tar/Tar 21 has a successful track record for use in accordance to DIN EN ISO 12944-5 for the long-term corrosion protection of steel components classified in the corrosivity categories Im 1 (Freshwater); Im2 (Seawater or brackish water) and Im 3 (Soil).

COROPUR Tar 21 fulfills the requirements of the cathodic sub-surface test, relative to DIN EN 10290, for the corrosion protective coating of steel pipework with polyurethane.

COROPUR Ferro /
Ferro LS
COROPUR Ferro is primarily applied for the long-term corrosion protection of steel components, relative to DIN EN ISO 12944-5, exposed to aggressive atmospheres. These are typically classified in the corrosivity category C5-I (very highly polluted industrial atmospheres) and C5-M (aggressive marine atmospheres). We recommend the light-stable COROPUR Ferro LS version for outdoor applications.

COROPUR Cover RAL /
COROPUR Cover RAL 9010
COROPUR Cover RAL is engineered for long-term corrosion protection of steel components exposed to attack from extreme atmospheric conditions. Modelled on the DIN EN ISO 12944-5 corrosivity categories C5-I (very highly polluted industrial atmospheres) and C5-M (aggressive marine atmospheres). COROPUR Cover RAL offers outstanding colour-fast properties and surface protection. The excellent UV-resistance of COROPUR Cover RAL make it applicable as top coat to conventional epoxide systems.

COROPUR Alu
COROPUR Alu will be particularly used in the maritime sector and is temperature resistant up to 160°C. At tank coatings COROPUR Alu contributes to ensure the lowest possible temperature inside the tank by means of reflection of the aluminium pigmentation.
COROPUR Non Abrasiv /
COROPUR Non Abrasiv LS
(both with Activator A-1949)
COROPUR Non Abrasiv has been specially developed for applications in steel water construction in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944-5. Especially suited for use in the corrosivity categories: Im 1 (Freshwater); Im2 (Seawater or brackish water) and Im 3 (Soil). The German Federal Institute for Water Construction (BAW) has classified this corrosion protection system as suitable for "Use under stronger mechanical loads". We recommend the light-stable COROPUR Non Abrasiv (LS) version for outdoor applications.

COROPUR TF 21
(with Activator A-1786)
COROPUR TF21 is a tough-hard, very stress resistant tar-free cover coating. It can be applied even as a mono-system for mid level corrosion protection replacing tar coatings in many areas. It shows good resistance in pH range 5 to 10.
CORO Silico Zink ME II
Coro Silico Zinc ME II is a single-component, silicone-primer used for high temperatur cover coatings like Coro Silico Ferro and Coro Silico Alu.
CORO Silico Ferro
Coro Silico Ferro is a single-component, silicone-iron filling cover coating with good atmospheric resistance and temperature resistant up to 600°C.
CORO Silico Alu
Coro Silico Alu is a single-component, silicone-aluminium-cover coating with good atmospheric resistance and a temperature resistance up to 600°C.
COROPUR Sliding-Agent
COROPUR Sliding-Agent lastingly improves the smoothness of the surface of Coropur Non Abrasiv by means of chemical linking to the surface.
COROPUR Thinner
A-851 (brush applied)
COROPUR-Thinner A-851 is indispensable for the dilution of COROPUR products in order to obtain the required viscosity for brush and roller coating.
COROPUR Thinner T-1900 (spray applied)
COROPUR-Thinner T-1900 is indispensable for the dilution of COROPUR products in order to obtain the required viscosity for brush and roller coating.
